Bue en bouteille de 33cl à Molenhof Restaurant & Bar Oud Postje, couleur ambrée, belle mousse et effervescence moyenne, une attaque citronnée assez longue avec une fin de bouche pamplemousse efficace.

330ml bottle, pours amber with a white head. Aroma is caramel malt, stewed apple, spicy notes, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, oily feel, average carbonation, light astringent finish. Very belgian style IPA, not a hop bomb.

Alengrin (5369) - BELGIUM - OCT 16, 2014
IPA made for Monk’s Café Sveävägen in Stockholm and apparently intended as an introduction to the style. Thick, creamy, off-white head on a hazy orange blond beer. Aroma of orange peel, grains, wheaty sourishness, pepper, hay, spicy hops, biscuit, apple; subdued fruity taste with refreshing citrus touch, subtle and delicate honeyish sweetishness, yeasty and grainy with wheat sourishness, rye spiciness and oat fluffiness all there, delicate and long herbal and spicy hoppiness in the finish without becoming agressive or ’biting’. I love agressively hoppy double IPAs but for it is intended to be, this is exceptionally well made, clearly the Struise Brouwers have full control over its taste - as usual.
