UPDATED: JAN 25, 2013 Interesting color: kind of red/orange/brown/yellow, nice white/reddish head. The taste is also very interesting: it is very very balanced. It doesnt have the amount of bitterness and carbonation you would expect in this style, which I really like. Combine this with the full bodied, yet not overpowering, sweetness, and you have a very great beer!

Mooie amberkleurig.

Ive been pleasantly surprised by all the Struise strong ales and this is no exception. Cinnamon, sugar, dates, and warm oak are well blended and entice you to wish youd bottle more. Good stuff.

Bottle on Christmas day, pours amber with a white head. Quite like a barley wine, with dried fruit, sugar, wood, bourbon, orange and spices. Tsjeeses!

Average creamy frothy offwhite head. Good lacing. Mostly diminishing. Flat thick dark-amber body. Aroma: moderate malty, caramel, dark chocolate, citrus orange, raisin, alcohol and bourbon. Initial flavor: moderate sweet. Final flavor: moderate sweet light acidic; average duration. Palate: light medium body, watery/oily texture, lively carbonation and metallic moderate alcoholic finish. aroma de whiskey aparece somente aps algum tempo farejando. 210 s
