Side by side comparison with the Bourbon BA. Head is beige, dense, thick, lasting and leaves lacing. Body is medium, reddish brown, medium carbonation. Aroma of malt, ruby port wine and something sweet I couldnt identify. Taste is spicy, with malt sweetness, ruby port wine and a bit of wood. Its warming all the way. Nice sweet balance. Alcohol very well hidden. A beauty!

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2017 butelka, kufle i kapsle. na szybko: duzo mniej zlozone i gesto-lepkie niz odtwarzana z pamieci wersja z beczki po burbonie. sporo jasnych owocow, sporo nut slodowych, nieco jakichs cukrowych klimatow. alkohol ladnie schowany, to co czuc faktycznie a la porto. nieco syropowe. w odroznieniu od wiekszosci: wole wersje port

I really liked this beer a lot. Pours a dark amber color with a frothy white head. Nice aromas of dark fruit, caramel, toffee, wood and a tinge of alcohol. Tastes more of the same with a nice balance between the fruity tones and malty sweetness. Medium bodied.

Bottle shared, thanks Mark. Sweet caramel, notes of dark cherry, cake, bit of oak, dry finish with hints of booze. Decent brew but quite mild overall, doesnt really live up to the hype, maybe past its prime.

2013 Vintage. Poured into a taster showing moderately filtered caramel brown with light sparse white foam. The nose shows caramel and tea. The palate shows high carbonation and a moderate sweetness with lightly tart notes in between and slightly tannic.

2013 vintage bottle shared. Thanks Jon! Dark fruit, honey, molasses and cinnamon aromas. Sweet on the palate with some light fruit tartness. Port-like in the finish. Dry and dark fruit forward. Nice.

2013 bottle. Brown hazy pour with beige head. Spice, port, yeast, dark plum like fruit aromas. Dark plum like fruits, yeast, light barrel and I guess port notes, beer really melds well.

Hazy amber color. Very sweet nose with honey, band aid and a bit of port. Slightly sour. Not that great, but ok finish.

Bottle. Amber reddish beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is fortified and malty, and the flavour is very malty with a port like quality and some heavy bitterness. Overall a nice strongly flavoured Belgian beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark golden amber with fluffy head. Aromas of fruit, malts, and some woody notes. Flavors of sweet malts, light fruit notes, and a touch of port.
