33cl bottle from Beera in Sofia. Cloudy reddish amber color with a small beige head after it gushed out of the bottle. The aroma has Belgian yeast, overripe plums and prunes, vinous notes, and a little cidery oxidation. Sweet flavor, port, cider, Belgian yeast. Medium-plus bodied, some boozy heat, not much remnant carbonation after it all flew out upon opening. Had some good things going on, but is a little unrefined overall. Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle poured into a Trappist glass. Slightly hazy Amber with smaller beige head. Aroma is esters, medium body, medium carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Amber-copper colored, hazy, medium beige frothy head, good lasting. Aroma is of dried fruits, caramel, spicy, some yeast and wine barrel. Taste is medium to very sweet malt, brown sugar and dried fruits, yeast, spices, wine barrel, bit vinous, some light spicy-herbal bitterness. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, creamy-sticky.

Side by side comparison with the Bourbon BA. Head is beige, dense, thick, lasting and leaves lacing. Body is medium, reddish brown, medium carbonation. Aroma of malt, ruby port wine and something sweet I couldn’t identify. Taste is spicy, with malt sweetness, ruby port wine and a bit of wood. It’s warming all the way. Nice sweet balance.
