From cervezasespeciales. In Teku glass. Watching Sons of Anarchy 6x01. The first case in which pass for barrel improves an already great beer, making it more balanced, less alcoholic. It has also a much better aspect than the 2012 non-BA version I took yesterday

Oh I love this one! Nice deep red-brown color, great head of foam and funny bottle. The taste is nice and spicy, sweet, fruits and vanilla. Very complex but good balanced. You can find some sweet and warming port notes in it. I will get more of these for sure!!

The Port variant of Tsjeeses is something special. It’s a spicy, malty Belgian holiday ale in the traditional sense, yet it tastes like nothing else out there. Brown pour that has red hues when held to a light. Smells like port, fruit preserves, and toasted barley. Prune, fig, plum, raisin, berry, vinous noir grapes, candy sugar, and honey flavors. The booze comes through just slightly. There’s a fat malty sweetness yet it’s countered by some complex spiciness. The feel is velvety soft. Were it not for the price tag and somewhat limited availability in my area, I would spend a lot of time with Tsjeeses.

Not entirely sure which of the three "Reservas" I had, the beer list just said "Tsjeeses Reserva 2013", and since Oak Reserva retired in ’10, and the Cherry notes on the flavor, I’m guessing it’s the port barrel version. Cloudy copper under a thin foamy off-white head. Nose is fruity and sweet, like boozy cherry meets herbal earthy honey. Flavor is big, bold, boozy and sweet. Lots of alcohol esters, honey, oak, cherry, herbal tones, and a earthy boozy finish. Not too hot, just tastes like strong ale. With honey and spices.

Lore (2772) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 17, 2015
opalescent dark amber colour, moderate sized yellowish-beige-ish off-white head; aroma of dried fruits, toffee, woody notes, hints of vanilla, herbal notes, wallnut and port wine; taste of dried fruits, vanilla notes, caramel, some wallnut, liqueur notes, and port wine; amazing Belgian strong ale

Orange color, taste of caramel complex and finnish of porto. Delucious ! I want another one!

Verdammt Lecker!

Pours a beautifully amber-brown colour with a creamy head. Nose has some citrus and just a hint of red wine/port. Taste gets sweet fruits, hoppy bitterness and alcohol giving it balanced complexity. Can’t really get the port in the taste.
