Strong blond winterbeer with fluffy white head which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeesess. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

Bottled, 330ml from my anniversary collection given by Sandra, sourced by Fin, aged 7.5yrs. Clouded brown with beige head. There is a heavy, fruity sweetness to this from the start, quite plummy, damson like, fleshy with sucrose. The Belgian yeasts give pear drop notes, rich, clingy with a big dose of warming alcohol. The ageing has melded the flavours into a whole. Darn fine beer.

Bottle brought back from Bruges. Pours cloudy amber with a cream head. Sweet fruit cake aroma. The taste has more fruity cake notes with a little peppery spice and pear drops. The alcohol is well hidden. Very nice.

Pink and purple label, vintage 2010, shared by T.J, much thanks. Amber color with a ton of yeast and sentiment. Aroma is malty, alcohol, caramel, and a shit ton of Christmas spices.

Yeast is dusty, a tad bit papery but considering the age it is not bad. Of course the alcohol is totally hidden at this point. The spice seems to have preserved it somewhat. Nothing real off putting. Not bad.

0.33l bottle. Amber color with small off-white head that disappears completely very quick. Fruity aroma (mainly apricot and orange) and honey. Taste is quite sweet, bit astringent with overall bitter aftertaste. Has plums, dried candy and caramel in between. Okay, but not really my kind of beer.
