Strong blond winterbeer with fluffy white head which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeesess. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

Bottle into chalice. Pours a cloudy orange-gold, lighter towards the top, with loads of floaties, and a creamy bone-white cap that leaves substantial lacing. The floaties were disconcerting, but the beer otherwise looks fantastic. Nose is apricot and tropical fruit mixed with a rich, lightly doughy yeast note, spicy alcohol, bit of candy sugar shining through. Delicious. Taste is yeasty, bittersweet, rich tropical fruit and apricot, sweet candy sugar and some spicy alcohol. Honey, and maybe nutmeg? Dry at some points, deliciously rich in others. Finish is yeasty, a bit bittersweet, bit of alcohol on the exhale. Mouthfeel is a bit sticky, soft, fluffy carbonation. Drinkability is fantastic. When I finished this, I was left wondering why I hadnt bought more than one. I actually realized I was drinking it so fast that if i didnt get to reviewing, Id run out of beer before I finished. An exemplary beer. Delicious.

Pours dark gold or light copper. Sweet Belgian candy sugar aroma. Bit of figs, dried fruits, slight hops and wax. Lots going on. Tastes sweet, bitterness is strong, spicy and candy sugary. Lingering slight hop tingle. Good stuff.

I drank the 2015 version on the begging of 2017 year. Brown-ish hazy color, small white head, soft carbonation. Aroma is sweet toffee with slight dried fruit traces.

Lalcool est bien chaleureux, maertume moyene, corps liquoreux, lgre astringence. Trs bonne bire, bien quun peu lassante sur la fin du verre...

On tap at Struise Brouwers @ The Old School pours out amber copper color topped with a small sand head. Nose is very nice pit fruit raisins light roast caramel toffee sweetness. Taste is more of the nice pit fruit rich malts and a nice sweet and booze heat combo.

330ml bottle 2015 vintage. Pours clear red-amber with fizzy head that quickly disappears and steady streams of cascading bubbles. Fairly sweet aromas of toffee, plums, raisins, herbs and spices, some alcohol. The taste has an initial toffee and toasty maltiness, some stone fruit fruitiness, earthy yeast character, then it really dries out nicely and finishes with a firm spicy and herbal hop bitterness. Noticeable but not overwhelming booziness and alcohol sweetness. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation, doesnt drink as big as expected for a 10% ABV beer, but a good thing. Really good and, for me, much better than the barrel aged versions which come across somewhat muddy.
