nimbleprop (8382) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 25, 2016
On tap at The Sovereign DC pours an amber brown with some white head. Nose is interesting, there’s a bit of boozy sweetness that you expect from a tripel, but a graininess too, some cherry/berry, a little almond, some marzipan. Flavor has some more raisn/berry thing, booze, tropical fruit, chewy grains including rye, candy sugar. Full bodied finish. An interesting take.

BelgianBeerGal (4066) - Panama City, Florida, USA - AUG 20, 2015
Draft at the Churchkey. Mahogany colored pour with a thin khaki ring around the edge. Huge aroma of dark fruit like figs and rum-like booze. The flavor starts as traditional tripel but finishes with some lingering the spice. Very nice but big. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

NikkTwist (3225) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 28, 2015
Draft at Monks. Hazy brown copper pour with some quickly dissipating tan foam. Juicy sweet dark amber fruits. Figs and dates. Caramel raisins. Rotted orange peels. Pumpkin squash. Cantaloupe. Raw sugar. The spicy rye helps mask the high ABV. Much less aroma compared to the Bourbon version.

ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2015
Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a deep mahogany-hued amber body with a small off-white head. Nose is wood, alcohol, rye, red berries, candi syrup, almonds, vanilla and hints of caramel, brown sugar and cherry pits. Taste is rye, grains, red berries, vanilla, raisins and hints of alcohol, candi sugar and cherry pits. Full body and carbonation. Quite a nice tripel, albeit a bit dark for its genre both in color and flavor; this could easily have been a BSA.
