COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Noordhoek Ostrich Farm and Resort has been offering visitors an oasis of silence, tranquility and green pasture since 1997. In 2001 we began offering our guests fresh, homemade ale, "Struise Witte" was born. The dutch word for "ostriches" is "struisvogels" or "Struise", but the same word can also mean "sturdy" or "robust". This "Robust White" is a living wheat beer of high fermentation, unfiltered and unpasteurized. Brewed with natural ingredients, bottle conditioned in 33 cl bottles.

Bottle bought at Struise Beershop in Brugge. Pours hazy light golden with a medium white head. This was a pleasure to drink. Fantastic flavours well balanced. Pleasant hoppy bitterness, combined with notes of fruit and a touch of caramel with a spiced finish. Nice one this!

Bottle, april 30th 2015. Cloudy yellow body with a lasting medium white head. Aroma of cereals and choriander, mild orange notes. Taste is quite grainy and thick, light yeast spicy, floral hops. Short bittersweet finish. To be honest it’s a quite average witbier, and I’m surprised to finally have found a rather boring beer from De Struise, whose beers generally rocks. Can’t win every time I guess.

Lore (2733) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 3, 2016
hazy pale golden colour, large, dense white head; aroma of lemon, grains, some hay and fruitiness; taste of sourish bread with overripe sweet fruitiness and moderate, though still present hoppy bitterness; nice and very refreshing - ideal for this sunny, warm Sunday afternoon :-)

Bottle, 330ml. A cloudy golden beer with a small white head. Aroma is of wheat, yeast and some canned corn. Taste is mild bitter with some carbonation and astringency. Aftertaste is very mild, but at least is refreshing.

Bottle, 33cl. Murky golden with a frothy offwhite head. Citric and grainy aromas. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Moderate to low fruity sweetness with low bitterness and a slight citric adicity. Earthy and refreshing, with a pleasant Belgian yeast character. Quite nice.

Bottle at home. Aroma of tart citrus, zesty lemon, wheat, light malt, hay, yeast, some spicy notes. Flavour is light sour with a hint of sweetness. Body is light to medium. Not spectacular, but I enjoyed this Witbier. A notch above average for the style.
