Strong aroma of sour vanilla, oak, fruity orange and subtle barnyard. Crystal clear and bright golden amber with a rocky white head. Complex flavor with two main parts. A sweet and tart/sour combination and an underlying malt flavor that carries it. Very fruity. Light body, dry finish but with a satisfying body. Not overly thin at all.

The flavor is wants to have some citrus but is just intensely sour, massive pucker that hurts my taste buds. Rotten grapes, funky, bad Brett. For me it’s entirely to sour. Overly tart.

Poured from bottle thanks AdamJackson. Pours light orange with a thin white head. Aromas of sour citrus and yeast. Taste is overly tart with lingering bitterness.

Thanks spacecoyote for the free beer. Pours dusty yellow orange with small soapy head even after all these years. Nose is puckering citrus and yeast. Tastes of grapefruit, peach, lemon peel, dough, slight musty, and gum. Puckering sour and drying finish, yum.

Review from notes. Golden body, slightly hazy, with a small collar. Aromas of funk, Belgian yeast, lemon, citrus. Green apple skins and funk in the flavor, finishing with a mild acetic kick. Bottle at home on several occasions - one particular batch was part of the SC² club. Pours light yellow with a decent head. Nice citrus aromas, a bit buttery, some floral notes as well as funky fruit notes. Medium body, well balanced between slight sourness, sweetness and dry finish. Struise’s tribute to the lambic culture, fermented with Brettanomyces bruxellensis and Pediococcus cerevisae, two of the most essential microbes ’used’ in lambic. A blonde, hazy beer with instable, loose head and an aroma which indeed strongly reminds of lambic, lemon, vinegar, soft bready malts, estery fruitiness; taste is somewhere in between a top-fermented blond Belgian and an authentic lambic or geuze, with funkiness, tartness and complexity, but also spicy and soft malty flavours, with a long and complex finish with drying sourishness. 7 year old bottle. Maltier nose than the bourbon barrel version. Mustier nose, sour but pure and quite beautiful. Deep fruit and so so fresh and delicate after all this time.
