bottle from somewhere in rural South Devon. Hazy golden yellow, hoppy nose with a citrusy touch. Solid malty background with intesnive hoppy flavours. Lovely citrus flavours accompany the bitterness of the hops. Delicious. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2004
Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - St Albans Beer Festival. A brown coloured beer with hints of red. There is some berry fruit in the aroma. Quite full malty beer. My notes suggest my score should have been higher but I’ll stick with what’s written. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2004
Copper colour. A bit cloudy. Quite hoppy and slightly sweet at the same time but, all in all, I didn’t really find very much to grab my attention. Funnily enough, my notes suggest a lower score, but I’ll stick with what’s written too. Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival.

Albans BF. Slightly sticky mouthfeel, some special K malt flavours (cereally), some toffee, with a lightly lemony finish, a bit too sticky.
Bottle.Hoppy and full flavoured. Plenty of citrus is present and there is a lingering aftertaste. Quite smooth with just the right amount of carbonation. Tried it some time ago, what a pity it has been retired. Beersiveknown (5284) - NORTHERN IRELAND - MAY 15, 2011
Bottle Conditioned bottle tasted in 2006 (hampshire premises)
A fizzy medium brown beer with a fruity aroma. Instant bitter hops flavour followed by sweet fruity taste and a hoppy aftertaste. Very little malt character. Medium bitter finish. Would be good as an accomapniment to food as opposed to on its own. Mungo (2470) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2005
Cask conditioned @ South Western Arms, Soton. Phenolic caramel with light yeast. Fairly balanced with the phenolic character fading to an annoying background. Spiesy (2338) - Sydney, Greater London, AUSTRALIA - OCT 17, 2004
