Cask gravity at Reading BF 06. Malty beer with herby hop, bit of toffee/rubber. Dry malt. Bit too syrupy. I had no idea that it was this strong.

9th July 2008. BBE date of Jan 2007! Cloudy brown beer, initially has an unpleasnt soapy taste but this dispersed quickly. The sour malt with a very dry finish. Less dry would have improved this.

Gravity dispense at Pig’s Ear Festival 2008, London
Dark brown color. Mild caramel aroma, with a cheesy edge, lightly earthy (very light manure). Good caramel flavor, complemented by chocolate. Correct bitterness the final is essentially chocolate with a caramel background. Good but missing some dynamic kick from a better hopping.

A Mes rate. Gravicask at Pigs Ear. Almost black with a slight off white collar. Nice chocolate, slight earthy malt and some lovely sweet malt giving excellent balance. Excellent bitter chocolate finish. The second beer I have had from Stumpys and although not quite so amazing as the other I am still liking their work a lot.

Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Deep red-brown colour. Caramel malt aroma. Juicy, plummy fruit on the palate. Quite smooth mouthfeel with some warming alcohol. Easy-going for a beer of this strength - maybe a little too easygoing.

johndoughty (5543) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2008
Bottle.Dark with a small head. Slightly sweet with a full body.Creamy texture with some bitterness. You know you are drinking it-it has a special presence.

cgarvieuk (25984) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 1, 2007
ruby brown, malt little sweetness in aroma, hoppy fruity with a nice malt balance. Strength didnt show through at all. but 7.2% is a bit high for this style.

Mungo (2470) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2006
Gravity cask @ Reading Beer Festival 2006. Pleasant malt aromas. Sweet but fairly drinkable with just hints at its strength.

kook (2033) - Perth, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA - MAY 1, 2006
Cask @ Reading 06: Amber in colour. Very fruity, and alcohol suprisingly well disguised. Simple and tasty.
