A hazy golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Bierkrug (2129) - - APR 19, 2011
500 ml bottle in Germany. Another of the 70 or so bottles of beer dragged back to Idar-Oberstein from the Great Stuttgarter beer raid. I remenber back about 20-25 years ago when Stuttgarter Hofbrau had one or two beers. Well things change. Pours a clear gold color with a short lasting white head. Aroma is normal sweet helles malt. Taste was not as bad expected. The normal sweet malt of a Helles awaits you. Palate was within normal Helles standards. Man I wanted to hate this beer but I just could not. (bottle) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly grainy malty aroma with notes of white bread and shy hops. Slightly sweet and minimal bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Malt-accented taste with light bready and herbal notes; medium-dry sweet malty finish with a whiff of hoppy bitterness. Unspectacular but pleasant to drink. 22.V.10 oldrtybastrd (5003) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 29, 2010

bottle - yellow golden beer with white head. Sweet and malty aroma. Malty flavour and little bit of grass. asheft (3098) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 21, 2008
Quite malty in the nose, if a little skunky, with slight lemon and oxidized character. Yellow and clear with a thin white cover with some lace and a big ring. Weak flavour of oxidized/candy/cardboard plus a little skunk. Bitter and sweetness balance. Light body, low carbonation, oxidized finish. shrubber85 (11508) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAY 2, 2008
Bottle. Corn/barley malt and light grass hops aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head. Stale corn/barley malt and strong bitter grassy hops flavor. Fairly standard but higher hops than most Export beers.
