Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - APR 7, 2005
clear and bright golden colour, nice creamy head, light herbal aroma with some buttery notes, a bit oily with a robust malt body, long malty and herbal finish with a solid bitterness - would be great with a more pronounced aroma

500ml bottle. Pours clear straw with a fine white head and nice lacing, with visibly lively carbonation. Aroma is clean with malt and slight grass. Taste is dry and clean, slight grassy flavour, nice hop finish. Decent Pils!

(bottle) pours a clear yellow colour with a dense frothy white head. aroma of floral hops and grass, with some notes of straw, very clean. flavour is very subtle, with notes of floral and citric hops and underlying hints of grain. light-bodied with medium carbonation. good, but almost too clean.

On draught in Stuttgart. Good bitterness. Biscuity pale malt back. Medium bodied. Dryish finish. Nice.

Can (It was a gift): Pale yellow with white, white head - looked almost like an American Standard. Some hop in the nose. Slight metallic taste due to the can - but this is what American Standards should be! Some malt, some hops and nicely smooth and refreshing.

Thanks to Vince again for another hook-up! This I think is the last of his stash from Germany. Poured a blond body with a huge white head. It died down quickly revealing a lightly skunked but grassy aroma. Some biscuity notes as well. Pleasant malt and hops crispness in the taste. It was hot at his house Monday night, so this really refreshed us. Palate was well rounded with light bitterness. Finish was more grassiness, light hops bitterness and some lighter buttered biscuit notes. Good beer!

asheft (3108) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2008
[bottle] Aroma is loaded with fresh noble hops as well as sweet, base malt. Lemon and caramel notes. Clear straw with bubbly white cover. Pleasant hops flavour and bitterness that are well balanced, but nothing extraordinary. A bit too bitter for the pleasant but subtle malt flavour--even some ethanol notes. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, lasting nutty bitter finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is dry malty and slight cornish aroma. Bitter and grassy flavoured with a mild cornish and vague acidic touch. Bitter and grassy finish.

Can at The Penguin. Pale gold with a collapsing billow of suds. Aroma honey and crackerbread, with some slight almond edging in. Clean and crisp with fresh crackery malt, grassy/lightly coniferous hop and even lemony hints- all backed up with some genuine bite in the finish. Some quality here, especially considering it’s tinned.
