Understated aroma, more malty than anything else. See through shiny golden color with a bright white head. The taste is also malty with an earthy, spicy aftertaste that has a hint of hop character. The palate is thick and moderately carbonated at the same time. This is not usually my style of beer but this one surprised me.

Pours a beautiful golden color. Lots of black floaties. About two fingers white head. Pretty good retention, good lacing.

Aroma is slight lemon, lemon pith. Lots of malt, earthy, herbal hops. Slightly peppery.

Taste is pretty well balanced. Slightly bitter overall. Hops are a little spicy. Bready. Not a lot going on.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. A little spicy and bitter. A little oily.

Overall, its okay. Im not in love with it. Im wondering if they tried a little too hard on this one. Still, Id recommend it, and Id buy it again.

Tap in Davis, CA. Clear pour, some decent hop aroma but not a whole heck of a lot going on in the flavor. Perfectly drinkable but I wish Id ordered a Racer 5 instead. Which I went to do.

Bottle in The Olive Tree tasting room. Dank hops aroma with candied grapefruit and faint pineapple. Clear gold under white wisps and collar. Pleasant hops juice flavour. Amarillo dominates, but citrusy Cascade Id not far behind. Moderate bitterness. Moderate carbonation, smooth.

Poured from the 12oz can into a shaker glass. Golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is mild but slightly sweet and grainy with some floral hops. Flavor has some light breadiness with a bit of grainy sweetness and some nice bittering hops at the finish. Light bodied. Pretty mild overall but decent flavor and refreshing.

Hazy copper pour. Herbal, lemon tea, mineral, slightly catty aroma. Medium bodied. Taste is pretty hop- lemony, with some soft caramel malts deep in the backdrop. Finishes dry with notes of lemon and Yerba Mat. Ok.

Bottle. Grassy nose, bready, some pine. Gold/amber color, 1-cm head. Thin pleasant malty initial, lightly sweet, gentle grassiness, and tiny lingering bitterness. The gentle dry-hop bitterness is the high point. Thin-medium body. A bit thick for a lager, but it is tasty stuff.
