Bottle from Jane’s. Deep rich golden pour, frothy head. Nice big full malty, grainy aroma, fresh bread. Taste brings a little sweetness, and a little tang. Hoppy backbone tingles the palate, and lingers for a while. This style is one of my guilty pleasures, and this one’s up to the task.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a mix of citrus and pine hops. Flavor is again a nice citrus hop and I don’t know if rye was used but I’m getting a nice spicy rye from the malt. The beer finishes with clean with a nice herbal hop left on the tongue. Pretty decent hop forward lager.

Pour is a light amber, small head that dies away. Smell of citrusy piney hops, lots of malt, and a nice sweet balance. Taste follows, strong bitter hops with pine and slight funk is present. Very long residual dry pine on the palate

solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - NOV 1, 2016
Light citrus and lots of malt. You don’t get a good vibe of the lagered part of things here. Mostly just tastes like an IPA. Orange pour with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Bottle.

Clear pineyness. Expectation of IPA-like bitterness, but everything in this beer tastes a bit dialed back. Malt definitely comes through instead of hops, but overall tastes just a little off from what I want in a pale ale style beer.

On tap. Poured a hazy copper color with a decent head. Aroma of citrus, grain and malt sweetness. Taste of citrus, caramel, grain and fruit. Moderate bitterness and a clean finish. Moderate body, crisp with a clean feel to it. Not too bad.
