On draft at KRBC....golden pour. Mildly bitter with a definite different yeast profile than a typical IPA .decent stuff BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 18, 2011
On tap. Pours with a clear orange hued body and a large, creamy, off-white head. Aromas are sweet, slightly sticky; hops: slightly herbal, canned pineapple and light strawberry. Flavor has a notable buttery diacetyl component. Bitter, lightly fruity and herbal. Tons of butterscotch. Slick to oily mouthfeel. Medium bubbles. Off putting. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 16, 2011
A: The pour is amber in color with a soapy white head and mild lacing.
S: The hop profile on this beer is quite grassy. There are some floral notes to it and a little bit of a citrus peel character, too. Perhaps not terribly surprisingly, there is a fair amount of bread and malt aroma.
T: Lots of bread with a slightly sweet toffee flavor up front. Some hoppiness, but not as much as you would expect from an IPA. Grassy hops for the most part with some floral notes and a light bitterness. Pretty mild citrus peel notes.
M: Medium in body and carbonation.
O: This was at least drinkable, but I don’t think I would go back for another glass of it.
