No one could give me any information on this beer while I was at the brewpub. I know they have 2 other IPAs listed and this may actually be one of those. I know there has been a change in ownership and management recently, so this may be an entirely new beer. I am creating a new listing just in case.

Pours pale with white head. Aroma is very sweet not a lot of hops. Taste is more of a hippy lager than an IPA. Some west coast hopes notes. Overall not very good for an IPA.

bottle - don’t know age. just ok at best, especially in the crowded market that is California IPAs. This one coming from a predominantly German style brewer is just a little on the boring side.

Poured from a 50 CL bottle. Aroma of hoppy resin and nice hay notes. Pretty golden amber color. Compact white head. Round mouthful with medium sweetness, balanced lightly bitter, not over the top hops, slightly salty notes. Full body, creamy, soft carbonation, nice astringent finish. Very nice IPA. I’ll buy again.

Deep gold, clear, lacy off-white head. Bready malt with touch of toffee, hint of butter in there, resiny hop bitterness with some pine, medium bodied.

Draft as part of a flight at Sudwerk in Davis, CA. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. Tastes of citrus, pine, floral notes, bitter hops, spices. Medium body with a dry and real bitter finish.

Zymurgeist2 (2508) - Redwood City, California, USA - APR 7, 2014
On tap at the brewpub. Moderate pine and slight citrus aroma. Moderate biscuit malt. Pours orange-amber with off-white head. Flavor is geared towards hop bitterness, with slight pine, resin and grapefruit. A little harsh on the backend.

On tap at the brewpub.Pours amber with a modest beige head and a floral aroma. There is a medium-bodied caramel malt flavor with a nicely hopped bitter finish.

Great aromatic hops, not overwhelmingly bitter. Dark copper color and plenty of malt. Good beer. Would recommend.

bhensonb (16397) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 8, 2012
Tap at the brewpub. Pours very dark hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma seems citrus/resin. Med body. Nice malt backbone - which is fairly matched by citrus/floral/resin. Bitter finish. Good drink.

Draft at the brewpub. Strong floral? hop aroma. It was served way too cold. Darkish amber color with a fine beige head. Near medium body with very light carbonation. The flavor is a bit watery. Light malt and light floral hop. It has substance, but it has less impact than many IPAs. Based on the ratings, I wonder whether there is indeed more than one recipe.

Poured into a shaker glass on tap @ brewpub. Aroma is nice, appear ancee is good, nicee lacing down the glass. Flvour is good, very nice for what seems like a typical ipa. Bitterness is balanced, and medium full body is proper for This beer.
