Rich, gold color. Clean, malty aroma that is firm with a subtle toastiness. Maltiness is honeyish with a low bitterness allowing malt to dominate. Smooth and very easy to drink with a touch of creaminess. German graininess noted. aspidites (1272) - manteca, California, USA - MAR 11, 2005
One of the best lawnmower beers ever. Clean sof an nutty with some nice malt and tet hops balance. very refreshing and easy drinking. Drink more of this and leave the Macro swill alone. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - JAN 10, 2005
Bright gold. Light body, but not necessarily watery; moderate carbonation. Malts were grainy and husky with some hay. Very "beery." Other notes of toasted multi-grain bread. Mild bitterness blended with a little roast. Dryish, alcoholic finish. grant (842) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - FEB 5, 2004
Dark golden yellow; moderate head. Aroma is initially quite raucous and belchy, but calms down to a pleasant mix of soothing malt and honey with a bit of rye. Tastes moderately sweet with some light caramel and hints of pumpkin. Granular, spicy hop bitterness. Quite nice, but is better served at more of an "ale" temperature. Good Beer, and a Thanks go out to Psychprof for this one. Gold, translusent poured with relatively no head in my pilsner glass. The first thing I noticed was the hallertau hops aroma, mixed with a slightly sweet, lightly carmelish aroma. Full bodied for the style. Subtle bitterness on the finish.

The appearance of this beer is attractive..nice darkish golden colour to the beer..with a clean white head that disapates to some lacing.
The smell for me was pretty run of the mill lager..though I may be coming down with a cold!
I like the taste of this beer..has big hoppy taste above the malt..i like this.
This beer feels good and smooth on the palate only the back of the throat getting "hit"
All in all a good solid Helles...surprisinglly its getting better as it gets hotter! strange indeed

Light golden with a tall popcorn colored head. Aroma of pale malt and noble hops. Starts with thick pale malts and finishes with clean hops kick. You need good malt to make this type of brew work and they certainly hit this one. MrRomero (1976) - Nolanville, USA - SEP 27, 2003
Best Before 050902: Damn, these beers must have aged well. Like the Marzen before it, this has a big malty aroma. Poured deep yellow with little head. Nicely hopped to match the big maltiness and a touch of sweetness. Very good. dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - JUL 20, 2003
Bottled. Tasted like a Helles. Looked like a Helles. Nothing special going on here. cb (810) - Roeland Park, Kansas, USA - MAR 26, 2003
Rich balanced aroma, copper gold hue, enjoyable yet subtle flavor, more malt than hops by just a bit. Little to no head. Fairly carbonated.
