A fine example of what a good pils is all about. To start, the aroma was probably the weakest part of this beer, as it clocked just barely above average with a light malt aroma. Nothing too strong or offensive, but still light. Appearance was a clear yellow with nice carbonation. Mouthfeel was crisp and medium-bodied with a clean finish. Flavor was nicely balanced with a hoppy bite, grainy, grassy and the all tasty malt. Definitely worth it if you can get your hands on this. Nicely crafted guys. Pale golden in color. Head sits like whip cream on top of this highly carbonated lager. Dry aromatics with spicy hops and an underpinning of malt. Mouthfeel is soft and pleasing. Flavor is wrapped with aggressive hop flavor but a little hop bitterness that allows the malt and hop flavor to prevail. Hop flavor is earthy and spicy and maltiness has a subtle graininess. smcd (366) - USA - MAR 27, 2006
(12oz Bottle. Draft at brewery. Draft. 03/2006) Wonderful sulfur, malt and floral hop aromas. Beautiful pale straw gold just approaching gold with a fizzy white head. Malty with just the right hint of hops. A medium-full palate. This really is a good beer and I’m not sure why it is rated so low ... maybe it just doesn’t travel well? dwyerpg (6494) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAR 19, 2011
This is a decent pils, but not outstanding. Crisp but not a real distinctive to the flavor otherwise. Still, impressed with Sudwerk. johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2011
Bottle. Golden and clear with low carbonation. Pleasant dryness and a medium body makes for a well balanced and pleasant pilsner.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2005 Pale blonde. Rapidly dwindling fizzy dirty white foam. Zingy, spicy laced aroma with lemon zest, minerals, grass, and straw. Beautiful carbonation: expansive and fluffy. Full straw-like, bready malt flavors capped by a lightly coarse, floral tinged bitterness brushing the back of the throat. Lingering metallic notes accompanied by traces of dough. A simplistic, yet flavorful pilsner. ChillCoat (1029) - Concord, California, USA - MAR 27, 2007
Bottle. Pale yellow and clear with a white head. Toasted malty aroma with a detectable floral hoppiness. Clean. GeorgeV (10) - California, USA - JUL 25, 2011
On Tap at Hamiltons Tavern in SD. Solid Pilsner with a very nice hop note. Just a very clean beer lightandrhythm (63) - - JUN 3, 2012
Light in color and aroma with a grassy nose. Malt and yeast dominate the flavor profile with just a hint of bitterness.

Pours a a yellow color. Pretty good carbonation. Two finger white head. Good retention, great lacing. A little paler than typical pils.
Aroma is light lemon and light butter. Lots of cracker malt. Zesty hops.
Taste is malty. Lightly spicy hops. Good balance. Light lemon and pepper.
Mouthfeel is medium light body. A touch of slick bitterness. Slides right down.
Overall, this is a great pilsner. Not much more to say. I would recommend it and I would buy it again.
