Amber beer with a medium light tan head that lasts a while. Nose of pine resin, orange pith, and caramel. Flavor is more of the same with a light caramel base overlaid with a resinous bitterness and some citrus notes. Although the hops stand out, the beer is not overly bitter and a bit of spice comes through at the end. Pretty good.

Beer of the Month Club selection. Clear copper with a one-finger bright white head that left very nice lacing. Light citrus aromas, mostly grapefruit, with hints of lemon and bread. Light hop bitterness up front offset by a caramel bready maltiness and a gentle spice kick. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, creamy sticky prickly mouthfeel and a crisp clean finish.

12oz bottle thanks to Eric. Pours out a crisp copper topped with a sand head. Nose is rye malts sweet toffee and a light earthy grassy hop. Taste is more of the nice rye sweet malts and a nice crisp hop.

Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a nice pine a floral hop with some green onion in there. Flavor is more pine hops with a bitter bite. Finish has a little caramel malt but it just gives the beer body not sweetness. Pretty decent hopped up lager. Think Sam Adams Boston lager but on steroids.

Brewhemia (297) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 10, 2016
Slightly hazy amber with off white head. Aroma of bread and grass. Very nice and subtle but clearly defined aroma. The taste is really nice as well. Semi malty sweet and nicely hopped with grassy and piney notes. The finish has a little roasted malt like taste and bitterness (the rye?) along with the hoppy bitterness. Very nice beer.

Bottle. Havent had a beer from this brewer in years. Surprise find in STL! Big and muscular, this carries many of the characteristics of big American ales. But underneath its a sweet, malty monster. Interesting hybrid. (#6259, 8/6/2016)
