Tap at the brewpub as Helles Bock - 7.5%. Pours translucent orange gold with a whitish head. Aroma is mostly grassy for me. Med body or better. Flavor is bready/grassy. Finishes mildly bitter. Good tasting beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler fill at the Sudwerk Dock Store. The aroma is a little skunky with DMS, although there is a bit of floral and grassy hoppiness present, too. A bit metalltic. Moderately hazy golden colored body with a medium whitish head that leaves good lacing. Starts with a nice, sweet, almost honey-flavored maltiness, before more biscuity, chewy malts come through in the middle. Finishes with a nice herbal and grassy hoppiness. Not overly bitter in therms of hops. This is really smooth, drinkable, and has a nice body. Well-done, for a style I normally dislike. Very smooth.
