India Pale Ale
Diablo is our flagship IPA, loaded with US hop varieties, dominated by the ‘Citra’ variety. Big tropical flavours & aroma punctuate, mango, lychee & papaya fruits abound, with notes of resinous pine leading to a lasting bitterness. A devilishly good US West Coast inspired IPA.

Bottle. Hazy caramel, small white head. Very mild nose, hoppy. Taste is crisp, with notes of fruit. Pretty mild IPA. Medium body, average carbonation.

Bottle at home. Has a hazy orange color and an off-white-like, creamy foam head that looks nice. A somewhat cautious but fruity aroma of grapefruit, citrus and some dry hay. The taste is more sweet with hoppy notes of grapefruit, grass and pale malt. In the background there’s a form of boiled cabbage and diacetyl. Mouth feel is smooth, and the bitterness felt quite so powerful. A decent IPA that will satisfy anyone who loves hops. For me the beer is a little unbalanced, and there’s some off-flavours.

Yellow, quite hazy, big white head. Smell of spice, tea, grapefruit, pineapple, some pine and light malts. Moderate sweet, quite clean, ends of with a medium bitter tail with spices and resins. Quite nice.

Bottle. Lots of pine and spruce in here, additionally some citrus and fruity sweetness. Not really intense taste, including the comparatively restrained bitterness. Very drinkable though I miss some more flavour punch.

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique June 2013. In the massive range of IPA’s on the maker this one sits somewhere in the middle. Hoppy enough with pine and citrus aromas and a resinous mouthfeel and pine aftertaste.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 07.10.14. Hazy golden. Foamy off-white head and lacing. Wonderful aroma of grapefruit, citrus and tropical fruits. Similarly fine and well-balanced taste. Bitter citrus in aftertaste.

Bottle at Beer Hunters. Hazy yellow color, good white head. Citrus and mango in the nose, also orange peels. Medium-bodied. Flavor has citrus, orange peel. Suprisingly light for the abv. Ok.
