Bottle from Utobeer. Pours pitch black with a medium, dark tan head which lasts and lasts. Damn thick lacing. Nose shows light peat, vanilla, cinnamon and bitter cocoa. Very thick and creamy palate, very sticky with a bit of heat and sharp bitterness. Taste shows a light mix of spice and vanilla, heavy chocolate, whiskey, booze is definitely there. Solid stuff but it’s a pretty hot johndoughty (5521) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2013
Bottle. My first from this brewery. Medium head with a strong coffee aroma which hits you when the bottle is opened. Powerful coffee and chocolate flavours.Uncompromising and hard hitting. A very good one. Aniela (4216) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 25, 2013

Black color with giant brownish creamy head. The aroma is initially coffeish, then hints of cream, cold ember, fireplace, some alcohol, spicy, herbal (mint and basil), late hint of cheese; pungent overall; original.
It’s full bodied, yet the mouthfeel is quite lean, and smooth; the flavor of roasted malt and chocolate is very rich, with minimal residual sweetness, maybe some ashes too, more evident in the final; strong expected bitterness level, with hidden hop resins; the final is more roasty, still smooth, with a touch of liquorice, and a bit yeasty; alcohol warmth.
Excellent modern example; the whiskey is not evident.
Tasted side to side with the Caol Ila, this one is more vibrant and richer.
Bottle shared at Ma Che, Roma, 09/02/13. From SBW online.
Rich black with a thin tan head that dissipates to the edge.
Nose is a big coffee hit, molasses, touch of liqourice, chocolate, dark malts.
Taste is a big espresso coffee hit, molasses, liqourice, chocolate, coffee beans, a subtle whisky presence.
Full bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish.
Excellent stuff - the alcohol is well integrated - could revisit this time and again! faroeviking (11119) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - FEB 13, 2013
Botella. Totally black colour, small light brown head. Aroma: sweet well roasted maltiness with chocolate and some whisky. Good mouthfeel. Sweet roasted maltiness with chocolate and whisky in the flavour with dark fruits. Mortlach (2490) - Rome, ITALY - FEB 11, 2013
09/02/2013 330ml bottle (thanks Theydon_Bois!). VsXsV (4528) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 2, 2013
Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of red berries, green bell pepper, fresh coffee, wood, light whisky, licorice and some light chocolate. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of green pepper, red berries and coffee. Full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Great beer, bit spicy. [330ml bottle, Summer Wine Brewery] Pours jet black with an enormous, spuming caramel brown head. After two pours, eventually it settles. Aromas are sweet wood, chocolate, soft whisky, tannin. Really enjoying how soft and delicate the flavours are here - it’s quite an old bottle, and the ageing has worked wonders. Soft whisky flavour on the finish, reasonably bitter - very well balanced. Long coffee and chocolate linger, more whisky. A delight
