Keg Third of a Pint at BrewDog, Soho, London in April 2016 - Dark Orangey Amber in colour. Good creamy off-white head. Excellent lacing. Fruity; grapefruit and orange citrus. Malty; grainy malts, caramel. Spicy. Hoppy; piney hops. Good fruit/malt/spice/hop balance. Bittersweet citrus fruity and malty throughout. Good stuff. Decent well balanced fruity malty IPA. Drank at Boom Art Cafe. Slightly fermented fruit malt, light dark fruit, medium bitterness. More hop in the taste than the nose. Body is bitter, fizzy effervescent carbonation, fruity dry slightly sharp finish. Perhaps not enough hop to balance the malt flavours (dry pale malt, somewhat too sharp), esp. for an IPA.

DraftDodger (1353) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 30, 2016
Copenhagen 29/4 2016. 33 cl bottle from Barley Wine. Roaring Saberttooth tiger om the label. A bit too old (BB end of January). Pours hazy copper brown with big yellowish head. Settles as creamy crown of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Sweetish aroma of fermented exotic fruit with notes of orange and grape fruit providing a little balance. Soft carbonation and thick oily palate. Taste has sweetness but is overpowered by quite prominent hoppy bitterness which dominates the aftertaste. Tasty IPA which does not save on the hops unnecessarily.

Drank with Timon at home 27-10-2015 (bottle best before 31-07-15, whoops..). Nice beer, but too ordinary, too flat.

Backlog rating. 33cl bottle form Utobeer, London. It pours a clean golden color with good carbonation. Aroma is mostly resiny and lightly sweet, with some citrus ad grass. Taste has more stone fruit, melon, caramel and grass. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, good but a tad sweet

Towey1989 (2448) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2015
Keg at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A slightly hazy amber colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of caramel, resin, grapefruit, orange and some peach. Taste of caramel, resin, spicy orange, grapefruit, some peach, slight brown sugar and floral hops in the background. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A bittersweet, grapefruit bitterness in the finish with some caramel sweetness. I agree with most people that its a little sweet for an IPA, more like a strong amber ale. Nice flavours though.
