[cask at the Stockbridge Tap, Edinburgh] Clear golden beer with a decent white head. Big lemony citrus aroma, followed by a very similar flavour. Got that Summer Wine zingy bitterness about it. A cracking Citra beer, before the long dry finish there’s a touch of sweet pineapple, but this is like drinking a lemon Starburst. Congratulations to Barry and Mrs Barry [13092012]

Keg @ Inn Deep. Hazy golden amber colour, not much head. Biscuit, tropical & citrus fruit aroma. Spicy bitter biscuit, citrus fruit & resin flavour. Very bitter aftertaste. A very bitter blonde beer.

On cask at The Bow Bar. Pours a blonde colour with a fair white head. A Citra hop aroma of pine, pineapple, lemon and caramel. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Nicely bitter with lingering pineapple and caramel again.

Aroma: Dry, lemony and hoppy (Citra?). Reminds me of Fyne Ales’ Jarl.

Appearance: Hazy, golden body with a small white head. No visible carbonation. Great lacing.

Taste: Soft lemon flavour. Like Jarl, but with more of a malty backbone. Lingering bitterness.

Palate: Medium body with a very oily texture. Flat carbonation.

Overall: A decent ale, but completely lacking in carbonation and, in my opinion, character of flavour. Good but not great.

Cask at Bow Bat. Clear yellow amber pour, creamy bubbly white head. Lemon, grapefruit zest on the nose. Bitter lemon grapefruit palate, long finish. Hoppy but good!
