Tap and it took the barmaid 3 attempts to pull a half. I note that it got rave reviews in 2010 and north of here. Time and distance has diminished its appeal so it doesn’t teleport well. Some of the 10 malts are roasted judging by the scent. Taste has coffee. Dark chocolate and maybe some plum. A beer of this type should have more staying power on the palate. Indeed, more heft overall. Not the best £3.20 investment of the week! edsspoon (905) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUL 21, 2015
Keg - dark black with a thin light brown head. Aroma of coffee and cocoa. Taste of coffee, roast malts and hints of smoke. Medium body, low carbonation. Remarkably boring for something advertised as a ’ten malt porter’. ManVsBeer (10946) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2015
Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Dark brown with a creamy off-white head. Has some extremely light and milky roasted malts throughout its character. Feels a touch thin in the palate. NosirIwont (2588) - Husum, DENMARK - MAY 10, 2015
Bottle. 5.0%. Best before 31.05.15. 10 cl. sample. Pours a dark brown, with a small, disappearing off-white head. Roasted aroma with a coffee note and a hint of chocolate. Roasted, sweet liquorice flavour. Somewhat watery, and with a weird note which tastes like polymer clay smells. Same finish, dry, with a lingering cigarette smoke note. Meh. 01.05.15. gegwilson (3793) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2015
Bottle from Heaton Hops. Pours almost black with a cream head. Nice cocoa aroma. The taste is slightly metallic with light spice and burnt toast, plus a little chocolate. Pleasant and drinkable, but not a great porter.

VBC 2015 Dark ruby, almost black, of color with a small beige head. An aroma of sweets, chocolate, prunes and weak roasted. A flavor of roasted malt, cold thin coffee and plastic. MOLA_DK (394) - DENMARK - MAY 1, 2015
Bottle share at VBC. Very dark brown with a very small head. Slightly roasted aroma, a little sweetness. Medium body, quite watery. Low bitterness and roastiness. Quite boring beer. leaparsons (10756) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2015

Tap @EustonTap. Black with creamy offwhite head. Light, roasted aroma. Flavour is roasted with light fruitiness and coffee. Bitter and dry finish. Decent. mR_fr0g (13475) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2015
Cask at the Euston tap.always good for a tick. Clear dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a creamy lasting light tan head. Attractive beer. Aroma milky coconut, toast, praline and cream. Flavour is composed of sweet coconut cream, toast, tangy dried fruits and a little woody note. Palate is full and milky, low carbonation. Smooth on the tongue. Lingering woodland berry and smooth dark roast. Good stuff.
