On tap. Pours black with a nice head. Aroma and taste typical for porters, nothing special, although I drank it with a pleasure. Stuu666 (13435) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 9, 2015
Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is roasted chocolate, light coffee, taste is bitter, roasted, sweet chocolate. GlassBrass440 (321) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 7, 2015
Pours a rich black with a healthy tan head. Lots of chocolate, caramel, biscuit, and general malt in the aroma. Flavor is a little like melted chocolate ice cream or chocolate mousse. Very creamy and chocolaty with vanilla and a touch of caramel. Full body and a nicely smooth finish. Cantabrian (1131) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 20, 2015
Bad luck that I had it side by side with the gorgeous Mokko, by the same brewery. Ruby black, with hardly any aroma, but a sour whiff of yogurt. Flavours are multi-layered, with chocolates, malts, coffee, liquorice, and the body is jsut on the thinner side. Still a lovely porter, only dwarfed by its sweet stout sister. Draught at the Euston Tap. Pours black with a small tan head. Taste is of malt, chocolate, a little coffee and bread. Sweet and smooth with a slightly hoppy finish. Seems complex and is very drinkable but perhaps a bit too mild to be interresting. Well, to me anyway. danlo (3067) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - NOV 21, 2014
330ml bottle. Dark brown-black colour, foamy beige head leaving lacing and aroma of toasted smokey roast malt. Taste is smoke, roasted, malty, biscuit, red berry fruits, chocolate, coffee and earthy bitterness. Smoothish mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, roasty bitter finish. Quite drinkable. DedicatedToFun (4000) - Santa Monica, California, USA - NOV 4, 2014
