COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
A Rich Dark Porter brewed with 10 different malts giving a sweet roast richness that is balanced with just enough hop character. This ale has a surprising drinkability for it’s colour and abv. Don’t let the sumptuous roast malt fool you, this porter is seriously potent & has the potential to take you to another place...

Draught @ Øllets Dag 2014, Kolding. Pours hazy dark coffee brown with small light tan head. Clear aroma of roast and caramel malt, with touches of yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour, with notes of liquorice. Lingering bitter finish. Okay.

330ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 05-07-2014.
BBD: 31-12-14.
In short: a rich porter.
Pours very dark with nice off white head, frothy.Long head retention, some lacing. Roasty, liquor, coffee and spicy aromas. Medium body, average to high carbonation, some crispy texture. Taste is smooth when carbonation flats, rich, coffee, roasty notes, moderate bitterness, some liquor notes. Very enjoyable.

Cask at the Cask, Pimlico, 16/06/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a well appointed tan that dissipates a little retaining as a covering. Nose is roast malt, toffee, darl chocolate, Soreen malt loaf. Taste comprises chocolate, molasses, liqourice, malty backbone, earthy rub, Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough porter.

Jako taki porter, 10 roznych slodow namieszalo tak ze trudno to wychwycic. Piwo za to ladnie wyglada. Ciemne, wrecz prawie czarne z lekkim rubinowym malenkim przeswitem. Piwo z niewielka piana jakby szarawego koloru, glebia a zarazem lekki smak. Tresciwosc srednia. Palonosc niewielka i slodycz umiarkowana. Ogolnie moglo bardzij byc wyraziste. Koncowka przejemna i najciekawsza z tej degustacji bo po przelknieciu przyjemna lekka goryczka i konkretna wytrawnosc

ShivanDragon (4698) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - APR 19, 2014

3.8
Beese (3296) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2014
Bottle from the Red Squirrel Chesham Brewery Shop. Poured black, with a tan head. Aroma of liquorice, dark malt and light smoke. Roasted malt flavours, with some sweet coffee and prunes. Finish was toast, molasses and grassy hop.
