On tap at Euston Tap East. Almost black colour, no head. Aroma of hard-roasted malts, caramel, coffee, smells bold. Flavour is watery, roasted malts, raisins, caramel, light fruity and coffee sourness, bitter finish. Light bodied. Smells promising but doesn’t deliver. sir__v (2630) - FRANCE - JAN 11, 2017

Handpump at Craft Beer Co - Covent Garden, London. Black pour with reddish highlights, brownish foam (retention). Nose: burnt coffee, cocoa powder, crazy. Mouth: raw porter, very extreme in some way. Rustic burnt malt feel.

A nice smell of malt and milk chocolate, light amout of roasted malt. The medium large beige creamy head has a long duration. The body is black. At first a taste of chocolate, later on it gets more dry. The body is light to medium strong, creamy and dry with a normal carbonation. ekstedt (6948) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 16, 2016
Cask at Euston Tap, London. Dark brown, beige head. Fruity, chocolatey, some ashtray. Medium bodied, light to medium carbonation. Dry, medium bitterness. Towey1989 (3168) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2016
Cask at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A deep brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, some caramel, slight raisin and subtle liquorice. Taste of chocolate, caramel, some raisin, subtle other dark fruits, slight roasted malts and a little liquorice. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dryish, chocolate and slightly hopped bitterness in the finish. A good all round porter, was expecting a bit more fruit but the description is right about the sweet roast richness with enough hop character. Decent.
