Cask conditioned handpump Old Fountain London 16/05/12. A pale golden beer with a white head. Nice tropical citrus fruitiness. Good hops and pale malts. A nice well balanced tasty beer with nouveau hops.

Cask at the Southern. Slightly hazy vivid orange pour, thin white head. Nice juicy fruit nose, quite unique - melon, citrus, really luscious character. Dry and juicy, touch of fresh mint characteristic, passion fruit, nice rounded but prominent bitterness. Quite unique, this is really fantastic.

[cask at Holyrood 9A, Edinburgh] Golden beer with a generous white head. Aromas are predominantly fruity – freshly zested orange and lemon rind. Got the bitter flavour profile I’ve come to expect from SWB – but prior to that the citrus gives way to mild caramel sweetness and a touch of hay. Nice enough [27042012]

Light golden amber, clear, frothy head, some lacing
Aroma - soft citrus fruits, some light sponge cake mix (!)
Taste - herbal hops, spicy zingy peppery hops, cake mix with a touch of vanilla, unusual flavour
Palate - soft carb, thin body. Finish as main flavour, lingering bitter (as usual for SWB), bitter zest. Very dry, bit too bitter on the finish
Overall - a half is enough, too dry

Hand pulled at the Shakespeare, Sheffield. Bright gold, with bright white head. Extremely pleasant golden ale, light airy and full of zesty lemon hops and sherbetty fizz. Nice.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2012 On cask at The Slip Inn 2012 Spring Beer Festival. Pours a light golden colour with a thick white head. A lemon citrus hop aroma with grass, caramel and alcohol also. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Not bad. Also had this unfined at The Holyrood 9A, a prominent cantaloupe character coming through.
