COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summit Porter is very dark, but lighter-bodied than you’d expect, with a robust, malty character and a delightfully sweet finish.

The description is perfect for this one- sweet, malty finish with deep malty roasty flavor throughout. Nice flavor and light, carbonated body to keep things sessionable. Good brew.

HIGHB4LL (837) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 23, 2014
12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Williston. Appearance: finger brown head, dark brown color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: chocolate, roast grain, light molasses, light grassy hops. Palate: full body, average carbonation, bitter finish, oily and sticky texture. Taste: sweet roasted malt, light chocolate, into moderate grassy bitterness (in contrast to sweet malt front at least). Overall, aroma is good, but bitterness is out of hand for the style, not a good balance in my opinion. Not too pleasant.

MNAle (179) - Minnesota, USA - OCT 8, 2014
12 oz bottle poured into a pilsener glass. Pours a very dark color, almost black. Creamy tan head with moderate lacing. Sweet, malty odor. Initial taste is nicely balanced hop bitterness with malts, then the smoky, roasted flavor comes to the fore. This smoky taste remains the dominate character of this beer. Nice body, but not really thick. Smooth and creamy. The aftertaste is bitter, but not overbearing. I like this beer.
