While it may resemble a popular Irish Stout, our Oatmeal Stout is quite different. Most notably it's sweeter. Chocolate, coffee and caramel flavors round out this smooth, full-bodied beer.

Black pour with a really dense, tight foam head very, very milky aroma, with just a tinge of sugar. Flavor is woody, chocolately, and there are some little hops in there on the finish. Silky, milky mouthfeel. Draws down with a curtain of foam but then runs down clean. If you dont know how already, learn how to enjoy this beer.

Draft sample at Ikes in the Minneapolis Airport. Black in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of chocolate chip cookie dough with a slightly amped up vanilla and dark chocolate compontent. Dark chocolate is quite apparent in the mouth, along with oats, caramel malt, mild coffee, and a touch of fruit. Medium bodied. Well executed.

Tap at the G Man. Very thick dark brown to black hue. Soft tan head. Lots of roasted malts on the nose. Some caramel and bitter notes. Very little chocolate; was hoping for more. Flavors of roasted coffee ground, dark chocolate and bitter black malts are sent my way. Finishes with tons of coffee. Slick feel, easy finish. Very well done.
