In the bottle. Pours standard yellow, but with disturbingly large bubbles. Was this force carbonated with CO3? Ha, ha, a little chemist joke there. Head leaves us on time. Maybe it’s early. Definitely lacks a nose. The hops are good and strong. Bitterness leaps forward and clings to your tongue throughout the beer. Tangy. This could use a little more balance with some more malt body. All things considered, I think that New Ulm has won the Minnesota War of Pilsners. Check out Schell’s instead. Or stick to the exquisite Summit Hefe. This pilsner pured a somewhat unfiltered golden amber color with a nice fizzy white head.
The aroma was a nice combination of citrusy hops and a touch of flowers.
The mouthfeel was very nice... Light and flavorful...on the malty side; a beer that I can pretty much drink all night.

Clear light amber with a huge frothy white head. Nice floral, somewhat earthy aroma of citrus, toasted bread, and honey. Medium light watery palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. Refreshing. Nice flavor that starts sweet with honey, citrus and bread. Finishes slightly bitter with a nice earthiness and light pine notes. Slightly metallic. A good everyday beer. Light golden colour. Very nice fruity (lemon) and grainy aroma. Flavour is nice too but the finish doesn't quite meet the promising expectations. Not exactly a "classic" Bohemian Pilsener (probably due to the domestic hops), but nonetheless a very decent beer. igneous1 (1538) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - FEB 19, 2004
color is medium golden, pretty clear, thin white head. aroma is pretty hoppy...earthy. a very well-balanced beer. fair amount of hops and malts apparent in the flavor...surprisingly good.

Wasn't sure what to ecpect from this one. Pleasantly surprised though. Good Czech style hops on the nose. A bit heavier that I would have prefered but it turns out to be quite nice... jdog76 (85) - madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 25, 2004
This was a great pilsner. It had a nice smooth taste that was sweet. Touches of honey that sat nicely in the palate. If your a big pilsner fan. This might be your beer. Pigfoot (2268) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 18, 2004
Clear, golden color, full fluffy white head, softly settling.
Aroma, soft, smooth with floral notes, slightly honeyish, rather pleasant, this.
Taste: nice hoppiness on the palate, tasty and brisk, fading , then roundly drying out in the finish. Light bodied, sweet and hoppy, crisp and rewarding.
Drinks down nice and refreshingly, always nice to have this around when you're in the pilsner mood. austinpowers (2832) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 16, 2004
Dry, crisp and a tad sweet. Grainy aroma. Not much can be said about this. Decent. Crash (532) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - JAN 12, 2004
Light golden look with little head and some lacing. Had a slight grainy/bready smell. A light acidic taste and after-taste
