COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re proud to announce the new Summit Sága IPA, a decidedly different hop-forward brew due out in early May 2012. The beer has pronounced hop flavors and aromas of kiwi, passionfruit, apricot and gooseberry. Clean, assertive bitterness with balancing Pale malt characteristics. We hop it with the rare New Zealand Rakau hop along with Citra, Centennial and Amarillo. Named after the Norse Goddess of Poetry, who was the God Odin’s drinking companion... also, it was quite a saga to pick a name!

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2013 On tap at pour house, copper color with a good bit of carbonation and a medium to large off white head. Great lacing retention. Aromas of centennial and citra, lots of pine, and juicy citrus. Taste is about the same with some honey, and wood tones mixed with a bitter finish. Somewhat grainy but not over the top. Too much carb in this one. Pretty solid offering as far as ipas go.

Taste: smooth semi sweet malts balance with gentle hops. mild nose. Amber, mostly clear, with a big foamy head and ringed lattice of lace. Medium/lite body. Drinkable at 80 IBUs

This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a softly carbonated body light yellow orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was malt hop. The mild citrus crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium citrus aftertaste. The tasty flavor contained notes of citrus and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Draft. App: Cloudy gold, medium white head. Aroma: Heavy citrus with a sweet undertone. Taste: Orange and grapefruit, pleasant but not deep. Palate: Full and long lasting, a little gritty. Over: Enjoyable and refreshing if not spectacular.

Dark golden to light amber in color. Taller mostly lasting, off-white head. Decent lace. Hoppy aromas, with ruby red grapefruit, tropical fruit (including mango and papaya). Pale malt and marzipan also join in the scents. Sweeter start, with a mild acidity. Quite fruity. Bits of citric zest wander about. 5/12

Really nice cloudy amber appearance with good lacing. Kind of flat / oily texture with mild soap and a hint of grapefruit and pine. Not great but definitely drinkable.

On tap at Outback Steakhouse, Bloomington, MN. Fresh pineapple juice aroma with a little base malt. Crystal clear copper under a lacy, white sheet. Mostly tropical hops flavour with assertive, clean bitterness and a medium base malt and light caramel backbone. Medium body, medium carbonation, crisp.

12 oz bottle. BB 11/27/16. (Little Brown Jug) Biwabik, MN. Cloudy orangey golden color with a small off-white head. Orange, fruity hops, mild bitterness, mild yoghurt notes and sweetish malt in the aroma. Not bad. The flavor is fruity and piney hops, mild bitterness, dryness and malt. Pretty decent IPA. A bit thinnish though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle, can’t believe I haven’t rated this before . Dark gold with white head. Heavy grapefruit nose with hops. Bitter, cloying, strong grapefruit. Finish is the same, lasts long especially when cold. This beer gets more love than it deserves but it’s ok.

Clear gold, lovely white head, super lacey. Aroma of pine and celery. Crisp on the tongue, pretty good stuff, more an English style IPA, a nice bready, earthy flavor to balance the hops out.
