Aroma of apricot, floral notes and reisling. Pours straw yellow with a fluffy head. Tastes of clove, bubblegum, and definite floral notes. Good saison. FunkyBrewster (1518) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 7, 2011
12 oz bottle. Pours a light golden orange with a small creamy white head. Aroma is spicy and pear citric fruitiness, aggressively yeasty and some honey. Flavor starts with some of the sweet honey and grainy malt. The fruitiness and peppery spice is still there, just more subdued, outweighed by the strong wheat and grain notes. Medium body and a sharp carbonation. Aroma was decent, but the palate became bland and forgettable. bconch (422) - - JUL 31, 2012
Taken from old notes. Lemon and citrus nose. Taste is the same with some honey in there. Nice and tart and refreshing. glennmastrange (2871) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Bottle. Moderate malt aroma of grain, lemon for the hops, light to moderate bearnyard and musty for the yeast with un-ripe peach and honey in the background. Head is large, fizzy, white with fair lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is hazy, medium amber. Flavor starts heavily acidic, and sour, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, dry, with a fizy carbonation. This is a very refreshing and sprtely Saison with a nice crisp finish. Guerde (1297) - Leuven, BELGIUM - AUG 3, 2011
(bottle) Pours a lightly hazy straw color with a very thin white head that does retain and leaves some scant lacing as well. Aroma is definitely full of honey, with some light funk, tart wheat, and a bit of banana. Smells passingly similar to Summit’s Unchained Golden Ale. Hint of lemon too and herbal. Gets medicinal with further warming. Flavor is lightly sweet initially, with some honey shining through with peaches, but the sweetness quickly shifts to a dry, grainy, and crisp wheat finish, with a good amount of hop bitterness to back it up as well. Faintly peppery. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is medium as well. Overall this is a middling saison that is rather messy.

Spicy and yeasty in the aroma, the appearance is bronze-gold. The flavor has a slightly muted spiciness to it, probably due to the honey. Not bad, could do without the added honey, it made a slight sweetness and syrup inflection i didn’t care for. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 14, 2011
On Tap @ The Maxx (Hotel Minneapolis)
Pour is dark gold with a medium head.
Aroma is crackery , hints of caramel, fruity lemon and wheat? Some honey sweetness as well on the nose.
Flavour is light earthy funk, tart lemon and mown hay with some biscuity malt. Not as sweet as expected. Tmoney99 (14506) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 9, 2011
Draft. Poured clear amber with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium yeasty fruit and spice aroma. Medium body with a tingly texture and soft carbonation. Medium spice sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This beer met my expectations.

On tap at Erv’s Mug. Cloudy golden yellow with a lacy white head. Aroma of malt, light yeast and fruit and a touch of funk. Taste is a touch wild as well with yeast, light pepper, mild fruit and malt. Ok at best. tmoreau (4374) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - OCT 26, 2011
On tap and served to a tulip at Lunar Brewing Co.. Displayed a deep, golden/amber with a clingy rim & layer of white, silky foam, and nice, ribbony lacing. The aroma was an initial touch of barn wood and yeasty funk, followed by fruit and light spice. The flavor was subtly sweet, with low but lingering hop bitterness coupled with lasting dryness. Somewhat less than medium bodied, and a little watery, but okay as Saisons go.
