Tap. Hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is honey, orange, bread, menthol? Not too bad. Sweet and grainy flavor. The honey is not as noticeable, but the beer is sweet. Slight orange and spice aspect. Some metallic notes linger in the finish. Medium body, with more going on than farm girl. Not as good though. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 19, 2011
355mL courtesy of OldSock aka The Mad Fermentationist. Pours a clear gold with a decent white head. Small lace. Very sweet, sugary nose. Taste is mildly bitter, nutty, doughy, and some oddities like saltwater, chamomile, squash. Overly herbal and much too sweet for any beer. Wildly too sweet for saison. emeinz (220) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 4, 2012
Bottle to glass. Had some floral and citrus notes on the nose. Seemed a little harsh midway through the drink. Maybe almost a bit grainy. It had some nice spiciness to it though. As well as some pepper notes. It didn’t have as An interesting take on a Saison. Not near my favorite though. crossovert (12911) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 11, 2011
Really spicy saison here. It is light in color and has a slight hint of fruitiness. Nuffield (4171) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 17, 2011
This is at least the second in their series that has hit a really wrong note for me, which is too bad--this should be a showcase. The honey is weakly noted, and the most prominent flavor here is a metallic edge that overwhelms the fruitiness the brewers claim. As a saison (setting aside the non-impact of the honey) it doesn’t provide as much life and funk as it should. Bottle.

Purchased at Armanetti’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed while watching Monday Night Football, week 7, if Baltimore wins I win my pool! Appearance a slightly cloudy gold with a rich, frothy white head that laces to the glass. Aroma of honey, Belgian yeast, spices, slightly fruity. Taste is not good. It’s like drinking flower mash. Too floral for me, the yeast strain just seems out of control, and it’s much much sweeter than I thought it would be. Also leaves a tart taste in my mouth. Nice try, but not good. dimenhetfield (2486) - , Florida, USA - NOV 4, 2011
12oz bottle poured into glass. When I think saison I think somewhat of a thirst quencher. This however wouldn’t be my first choice. The aroma has a strange mixture of hops and blue cheese. The flavor is dry perhaps a little too overly hoppy. Balance doesn’t seem to quite work here. I’ll pass next time. bblack99 (527) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - NOV 23, 2011
12oz bottle from a friend’s recent trip to Minneapolis. Pours a hazy gold with a huge fluffy white head, fed by extremely lively carbonation. Aroma is a light mixture of funky horse blanket and pear. Astringent twang overrides the light clover honey and green apple flavors, and makes this a bit unpleasant. Finish is too dry, peppery, and hoppy for what should be a refreshing summer brew. Wacky beer. ExpendableHero (924) - Florida, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Golden brew with a white head. Sweet aromas of candy, and yeast. Tastes very faintly of honey, some peppery spices, sugar water, and floral hops. Not much of the advertised citrus or fruit flavors come through at all. Semi-sweet finish. Bland, but unoffensive. WymanJ (49) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 29, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 28, 2011 Bottle. Pours a nice amber with a decent head. First sip was very hoppy, then it smoothed out a bit as I drank more. Was expecting more of a honey flavor. Okay but not great.
