The aroma is earthy - grassy with mixed grains and caramel malts. The appearance is amber with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma with a bit of an astringent bite. The palate is smooth. Overall an interesting beer but slightly to bitter. jkbachman (181) - - JAN 28, 2013
Rustic and earthy aroma. Slightly spicy/peppery and sour. Hints of wood finishes dry.

12 oz. bottle. Pours red amber with a soft off white head that fades to a wispy film and collar. Aroma has subtle grapefruit some caramel and more fruit of sorts. Taste is bitter fruity hops which is quite nice and a soft caramel malt flavor along with biscuit and a little spice. Palate is thin to medium with a chalky dry finish. Really surprised how well this goes down! I find myself wishing I just bought a 6 pack instead of the single! Gription79 (2893) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - JAN 22, 2013
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle at the airport. A big fruity hop nose, floral, fruity, slight citrusy. Spicy malt character, coffee, chocolate, toffee. Interesting, the hop flavor is light allowing the malts to shine. Narnad (1521) - Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA - JAN 21, 2013
Pours a hazy deep orange color with a very dense, creamy light tan head. Aroma has a light nutty nose with a lot of toasted malt presence with a light spicy rye like finish and some light citrus and grassy hoppiness. Flavor has a strong hop presence but not the typical strong hops we are use too as its not the an in your face, pound your buds type. The hops is a light citrus and strong grassy combo that pairs very well with the strong toasted malt presence in this brew. Body is light with a light oily feel. Overall a very tasty brew. I love the hops and malt combo for this brew. They should mass produce this one as it’s a fantastic anytime type of brew.

Pours a clear, copper-brown with smallish, lasting head. Aroma of malt and grain, with some hops. Flavor is rather hoppy, and a bit like a brown ale. Bitter finish. Interesting. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JAN 19, 2013
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Heritage Liquors, Minnesota. Pours a clear medium amber colored brew with a thick and rocky off-white head that leaves behind some excellent lacing. Aroma of multi-grain malt, some light medicinal hops with citrus, a touch of caramel and apple skin. Taste is medium bodied, some extra carbonation with flavors of multi-grain malt with caramel, earthy spices, a touch of vegetables and grassy hops. Finish slightly dry, has a sharp spicy hop aftertaste, a hint of metallic and then a crisp finish. kdm1984 (814) - Missouri, USA - JAN 13, 2013
Pours light copper with an immense head of closely packed, tiny bubbles and thin, tight rings of lacing, especially near the top of the glass. Aroma is very earthy - grass and mud - and a little malty. Flavor is light - malt and a minor hop bite to go with the hints of grass and dirt. Not much of a fan of earthy beers normally, but this is decent and drinkable, if not outstanding. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 31, 2012
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark reddish brown pour with nice tan head, aroma brought notes of rye, birch, wood, oak, some caramel, toffee, earth, sine spicy and piney hops. Taste is nice rye, birch, bread, caramel, oak, birch, finishing woody, dry, spicy and slight fruity notes finish it out. Tasty! blutt59 (6576) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 28, 2012
