Bottle. Pours a copper color with white head. Herbal, earthy, bitter, hoppy aromas. Earthy, floral, herbal, bitter flavors. Nothing great. nuplastikk (6289) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 28, 2013
12oz bottle. Hazy orange-yellow body, thin foamy white head. Grassy, herbal hop flavors and aroma, like someone else pointed out, almost approaching saison tones at times. Drinkable, approaching full bodied. Toasty bitterness. Has faded a little even after a month in terms of hops, but is another rather unique addition to the Unchained family. On tap at Grumpys NE, pours a hazy golden with a thin white head. Floral hop aroma with caramel malt. Taste of sweet tropical and floral hops, caramel and English toffee malts, with a dry bitter finish. Not bad for just another IPA. Gravity dispense at GBBF ’13, 16/08/13.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2013 12/13/13 Version: Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, Minnesota and sampled at GTMW 2013 in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a hazy golden orange amber colored brew with a decent sized off-white head that has excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops, some earthy spices and a touch of caramel malt. Taste is medium bodied, some toasted caramel and English-style malts, grassy/floral hops and some earthy spices. Finish is semi-dry, with a more earthy hop aftertaste with some toasted caramel malt in the background. Nice to take a break form the citrusy Cascadian hoppy IPA for once. undsioux7 (872) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - SEP 6, 2013
Classic summit malt profile with a bit more added fruitiness compared to the piney apa. Has a little more hop presence. Decent enough.

Hazy gold, thin white head. Semi dry beer with a good bit of grassy hop and light yeast flavor. Almost reminiscent of a saison more than ipa. tasty. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2013

GBBF Day 4. Lightly hazy gold beer, small white head. Light semi dry palate. Floral malt. Touch of pithy grapefruit. Light hop spice. Finishes semi dry. Not bad, a bit mild despite the apparent freshness of the hops.
Aroma is fruit, grassy hops and a hint of candy/malts. The flavor is fruit/light berries, malts, slight nutty/earthy notes and a bitter/slightly tart finish. Not sure if it being a single hop/malt ale impacted the flavor, but it was a different and good EIPA.
