Sorry of coffee brown with a light foam. Malty hop aroma. Taste is dark malt. A little caramel with a nice hop finish. Almost like a hopped brown ale but there is more sweetness. Very nice.
Sent to me courtesy of Styrkzone in a trade. Thanks Dave.
Poured dark brown with a beige head. Nose of fruit and funk. Medium body . Flavor is rich and tasted of raisins. Earthy finish. Really nice. Nekronos (4175) - Xalapa, MEXICO - JUN 7, 2014
Very nice and quite special. Malty and aromatic. They should keep making it in a regular basis. akoeninger (748) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 6, 2014
On tap at Dexter's Pub. Dark fruity and super tasty. Great flavor of dark fruit, figs, molasses, biscuit. Medium body. Surprising and delicious.

Bottle, past its prime by about a month. Pours a dark ruby with a thick khaki head that settles slowly and leaves some soapy lace. Nose involves cocoa, dusty yeast, a slight apple note, some toasted malt and caramel. Quite sweet, fairly bitter, lightly tart. Medium bodied, lightly oily, fluffy and active, with a long toasty caramelly finish. Good but a bit strange, a little heavy on the cocoa notes. skinnycheeks (31) - - APR 26, 2014
This is an old log that I’m filling in so I do not remember the specifics of the tasting.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, we’ll retained, tiny bubbled light beige head, with some lacing, over a clear brown (SRM 25) body......nose is sweet malts, with hints of cherry, fig, hints of roasted malts with light cocoa, minimal hops....taste is moderately sweet malts, with dried fruits, toffee/caramel, cereal, finishing dry and moderately bitter......mouth feel medium body, minimal astringency, mild acid. This misses the style ever so slightly. The malts, while mostly dominant, are not quite deep enough in complexity. Also the hops are a bit too forward. An increase in the malt bill, and a change or a lowering of the hops used would improve what is already a nice beer. Dark color. Some white head. Can’t distinguish an aroma. Caramel malt maybe, pine and grass. Pretty solid flavor. Light body. Shory duration. Clean. Very clean. Would be a sessionable beer except it’s 7%!! which is not expected. Sweet Bif (2235) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - MAR 1, 2014
On tap. Served a dark brown color with a nice thick tan head and some lacing. Aroma of malt, primarily dark fruit and bit of spice. taste of thick malt, dark fruit with some toffee and just a bit of spice. Mild bitterness and a dry finish. A solid body, a bit crisp and very smooth. Nicely balanced. Enjoyable beer to relax with. jkwalking05 (4731) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 22, 2014
12 oz bottle. Brown in color with an average cream colored head. Aroma is of cola, roasted malts, prune, light chocolate, and grain. Taste is of roasted malts, raisin, grain, malt, toast, and light nutty notes. travita (4988) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 22, 2014
Bottle. The look is darker than expected, very dark brown with reddish tinges, and a thinner off white head. The smell is fruits, malts, slight yeast, cherry, sweetness, pie, and ok. The taste is roasty, paper, fruits, malts, porterish, dry, and ok.
