They call this an export double stout. It tastes smooth and creamy. I can not notice the 8.5 percent alcohol at all. There is no aroma which is normal for a bottled stout. The flavor is outstanding. Not just roasted malt flavors but also coffee, chocolate, molasses. Aftertaste is slightly off.

Ar: Coffee, hints of cocoa - a little bread crust.
Ap: Black, opaque - medium-small dark tan head with moderate retention, leaves a thin ring of foam, some side foam, and a thin film of foam on top.
T: Coffee and cocoa powder - lightly sweet - some pineapple, pear - medium-high bitterness, fairly clean - char, bitter chocolate - grainy, spicy malt flavor, a bit peppery - lean herbal hop flavor.
P: Medium body with high carbonation - finish is dry.
O: Average export stout - flavors are spot on, but a bit more sweetness and a bit less carbonation would do a lot for this beer to really bring it together. Cunningham (7860) - Halden, NORWAY - APR 18, 2014
Appearance: Pitch black color with a small beige head that leaves some lacing.jsmerig (1578) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 6, 2014

Tap. Black with a tan head. The nose has a lot of chocolate along with some vanilla. The taste is like powered chocolate. Slight bitter finish.

12 oz bottle from Hy-Vee Muscatine. Black appearance with a small tan head, light lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, bitter chocolate, earthy spicy hops and coffee. Similar flavor, adding nuances of licorice, molasses and dark fruits. Medium hop bitterness (earthy, grassy, floral) and mild malty sweetness. Medium plus body with a semi-dry feel and a lasting finish. Overall, pretty complex, lots of flavor. coolfunnj (374) - Margate City, New Jersey, USA - MAR 16, 2014
