Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, Minnesota. Pours a semi-clear reddish brown colored brew with a thick beige head that has great retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of dark pitted fruits, brown sugar, multi-grain malt, and a touch of citrus. Taste is full bodied, a little boozy profile with enriched caramel malt, raisin, a touch of molasses and dark pitted fruits. Finish is sweet and strong. Aftertastes of caramel, toffee, dark fruits, citrus and raisin. An American style barleywine with some extra alcohol presence. FROTHINGSLOSH (8362) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2016
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-caramel color with a large creamy orange-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweetish with molasses, rum, cherry, fig and tobacco. The flavor was sweetish with caramel, molasses and dark fruits followed by anise, booze, tobacco and medicine. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Disappointing. commonshawn (1345) - Minnesota, USA - FEB 20, 2016
Tap at dark horse with commonmac and samadouche. Light copper red with thick white head. Nice alcohol hop nose. Aggressive alcohol, some hop. Light medium body. Little citrus backbone, boozy but not overpowering. Not bad. drowland (9191) - Georgia, USA - FEB 5, 2016

12 ounce bottle. Pours reddish brown with an average off-white head. Aroma of caramel, fruit, and malt. Taste is caramel, dark fruit, malt, and brown sugar. Pretty good. BVery (11491) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JAN 3, 2016
Bottle. Clear deep amber pour with a small dense head. Sweet, grassy, a little abrasive. Not really my style, but I can see how some would like it. nuplastikk (6633) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 2, 2016
12oz bottle. Filtered looking amber-brown body. Foamy off white, glass rimming head. Pretty mellow aroma for the ABV. A pretty balanced Barleywine, which is sort or a rarity these days, when you’d just have to add yuzu and candy corn and put it in a gin barrel. Not exactly mind blowing stuff, but really captures the style well. Clean, not sticky for the ABV. DalzAle (2040) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - DEC 28, 2015
Bottle. Clear, dark tan pour, thin disc of carbonation and an aroma of sweet caramels. Flavor is resiny herbal hops, nice sweet caramel, cherry & raisins and finished with a slight alcohol burn. Really nice considering the price; I’d like to try this as a barrel aged offering.
