Dark in color, full body flavor, a long lasting head. Simply put... the best Winter Ale I’ve had.
12 oz. bottle. Darker amber pour with a foamy tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, bread dough, yeast. Taste was mild bittersweet, bread, yeasty, spice. eruizgarcia (367) - - JAN 18, 2017
Good nutty, malty winter beer. Dark amber pour, roasty aroma. Easy to drink.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2016 Draft at Bru Craft. Clear deep chestnut brown pour with tan foam. Good show of lace. Watered charred malts against mild hops. Walnuts. Cocoa. Diluted caramel toffees. Nutmeg. Faint dates and molasses. Hints of a better brew but as is, feels firehosed. BeerRenter76 (1054) - Texas, USA - SEP 13, 2016
This winter ale poured a deep brown body that turned amber in the light. Decent carbonation with a small head that disappeared rapidly. The aroma was unusual, kinda like burnt barley. Thankfully the taste was better than the smell with caramel malts, some coffee notes and even some chocolate hints. Overall this was more like a porter than an ESA but it was fairly decent. Draft at Kasey’s Tavern. Non deScript aroma with a bit of caramel malts. Tastes like sweet caramel malt, toasted almonds, faint herbal hops. Pretty basic.

Poured from 12oz brown bottle into a snifter glass. Dark reddish amber with off-white foam, lasting with lace. Reeks of too much Victory malt, diacetyl, nutty astringency. Not good, kinda bland, kinda off. Chose not to drink it all. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 27, 2016
Annee pour from draft at Nisie lounge. White head. A little warm. Carmel, earthy, malts. Decent but wouldn't get it again. alobar (3967) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 18, 2016
Chestnut brown pour with aroma of chocolate, dark fruit, and toffee. Toffee, dark fruit flavor with some cinnamon, clove, and chocolate. Overall, a decent beer. raymow (1865) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 12, 2016
on tap at Dog & Bull in Croydon - a winter warmer that tastes closer to a porter. Not the usual cinnamon and clove flavors of a typical winter warmer. Super dark reddish color. ads135 (5207) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JAN 2, 2016
A mild winter ale. The spice is understated, a little bit of cinnamon and nutmeg, but mostly just Bready malts.
