On tap at Haymarket’s Sun King. Pours a hazy deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has grains and caramel with underlying dark fruit and Belgian yeasts. Flavor starts with sweet grains and caramel that last throughout the beer and is backed by dark fruits and light Belgian yeast. hopscotch (11451) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 12, 2013
Can... Clear copper ale with a flimsy, fleeting, white head. The nose is a melange of caramel, white wine and mild oak. Medium to full-bodied and a touch oily with laid-back carbonation. The fllavor offers lovely caramel and toffee, accompanied by light tartness. Good balance for the style, but it does lean a touch sweet, as it should. Finishes rich, caramely and nourishing. Quite the meal. Can courtesy of StFun. Thanks, Josh!

Deep plummy Amber that pours with a thick ivory top. Bright juicy raisin and plum aromas that’s sweet and dark fruit juicy. Bombastic juicy and plummy flavor that’s got a load of raisins and figs, warm booze heat, purple flavored Belgian malts and a slightly bread pudding tone on the finish. A bit simplistic and overly sweet/fruity but still tasty.

Metallic chestnut colour, little or no head. Vinous nose with fusels, strawberry aroma and sweet-alcoholic smelling. Fusels returning in the flavour; sweet taste with Crème Anglaise, vanilla, alcohol and a vague impression of wood. Very slick, well bodied and rewarding palate. Nice! b3shine (9281) - Indiana, USA - APR 22, 2016
Draft to taster at the Fishers SK. Looks solid; a mildly hazy burnt orange with off-white head. Smells of dark fruit, oak, and vanilla with a fairly sweet backbone. Tastes like it smells, but more robust and balanced, and with more of a vanilla presence. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied with a bit of pleasant tartness on the back end. Solid, and tastes better than it smells. ajnepple (7372) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - OCT 9, 2016
On tap at Hops & Pie. Clear reddish amber appearance with tan head. Aroma of fruity esters, oak, light bourbon and light vanilla. Similar flavor, rich and malty with barrel notes, moderate sweetness and mild bitterness. Medium to full body with a crisp, light dry finish. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Draft on tap at Haymarket’s Sun King Takeover (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich well hazed brownish pour, touches of orange glow on bottom and edges, touches of copper. A frothy offwhite head dies to a ring, laces small. Aromas are gentle dark fruit, mellow raisin and plum, carmelized malts, biscuits, and toffee. Gentle yeasty elements, with deeper red grape, gentle touches of toffee grow, vanilla, and spice. Mellow sweetness grows, dark fruit. Toffee and caramel, biscuits pick up. Gentle kisses of yeast, mellow sweetness and dark fruit grow. Gentle black cherry, mellow heat from the abv. A bit smooth and sticky. Lingering red fruit, dark fruit, touches of gentle yeast. Finish is gentle plum lingering, touches of raisin, gentle heat, spice, and sticky malt. koleminer20 (4176) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - FEB 10, 2017
Enjoyed at a tasting at Brian’s house on February 08. 500 mL wide-mouth cottle. The pour is a reddish amber color with a thicker tan head that leaves some soapy lace as it falls down to a film and thin collar. The aroma is interesting. There is a dark fruit heaviness going on, but it has a sweet maltiness, some light molasses, and a very bready malt addition. It’s got a little yeastiness and maybe a hint of banana. It’s a little boozy on the back end and it’s just a bit messy. The flavor is almost identical. The dark fruits are nice, but the alcohol kicks in a little sooner. The malts and yeast work well, but there is a robust molasses that’s joining in late. The mouth feel is a little watery and softly carbonated with a lingeringly sweet fruity and alcohol finish. It’s a unique beer, that’s for true.
