Draft to taster. Looks good; a semi-transparent dark brown cola with very light beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of dark malt, chocolate, and light roast. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Maybe a hint of vanilla too. A solid example of the style. Patrickctenchi (6591) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - FEB 17, 2014
Pours black, a little ruby lights, creamy, short tan head.
Roast chocolate aroma.
Taste is sweet, creamy, malty chocolate.....
Very tasty, a nice flavourful porter.....it doesn’t go too far down the road to super-sweetness.
Very good. shrubber85 (11408) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - FEB 16, 2014
Draft. Woody chocolate fudge aroma. Black with moderate tan head. Sweet woody chocolate fudge malt flavor. Nice bittersweet chocolate aftertaste. Delivers what you would expect from the name. jsquire (4490) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - MAY 30, 2013
Dark beer out of the tap with some garnet colors when held against the light. Thin beige foamy head. Nice sweet roasted grain nose. Flavors of ripe pit fruit, bitter chocolate and powdered sugar. Tasty porter. Block (2727) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAR 14, 2013
I liked this beer. Malty and sweet. Very light and went well with the accompanying Mexican dishes.

Draft. Black pour, tan head, some retention/lace. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roast, chalk. Taste is chocolate, roast, chalk, light vanilla. Palate is dry, soft, thin finish. Overml01 (227) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Draft at the Fort Wayne release party at CS3. Nice chocolate notes with some vanilla in the background. Certainly not the soppy sweet malt bomb I was hoping for (think ST Creme Brule), but also much more sessionable. A very fine first pint to kick off my tasting experience that night! phaleslu (10267) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Draft sample at the brewery. Pours a mostly clear amber-hued brown with a small khaki ring for a head. Notes of vanilla, chocolate, caramel; more sweet than bittersweet. Light-bodied, with a smooth, sweet mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Not bad but I don’t think I’d want a full pint of this one.
