Fistful of Hops is our quarterly series of four IPAs, each with the same malt base. We balance that base with a seasonal “fistful of hops” - each time a different combination. Fistful "Green" contains Warrior, Mandarina, and Galaxy hops, which provide the citrusy flavors of tangerine and grapefruit.

Absolutely fantastic. Hops are plentiful with no bitter aftertaste. Great brew.

16 oz can from Indianapolis from notes. Pours a clear orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus and tropical fruit, some resiny hops, caramel, mild earthy notes, pale toasted malts, mild bitterness to the finish, decent ipa, but they have done better.

Rated on 12-19-2013 at 800 Degree Three Fires-Fort Wayne, IN. This draft beer has a small beige head that is fully lasting, transparent amber body, very little carbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is citrus, pine hops, earthy, and malt. The flavor is very bitter, citrus, pine hops, grapefruit, malt, and has a very dry finish. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation and this IPA is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is very quaffable and is a beer for hop heads.

can. Amber with two finger head. Medium malt body. Very nice crisp hoppiness with solid flavor. Aboverage IPA.

Draft at Smoke & Barrel. Clear bright golden color, white head with nice retention and lacing. Aroma wow, freshly cut wet grass, scallions, garlic, licorice. Taste has bitter herbs. Very nice.

16 ounce can thanks to Trent! It pours a hazy golden orange and it sits under a 1 finger head of foam. I get strong notes of citrus and malt. Pint grapefruit with some bready and caramel malt. In the tasting, lots of grapefruit and tangerine citrus with an earth malt base which spreads out to caramel and bread. I also get hints of pineapple and overall, the bitterness and sweetness in this brew are well within my comfort zone. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, great mouthfeel. This is a truly delicious IPA. Hitting on all cylinders from first sip to last swallow!

Sample at Sun King. Pours a darker orange with a off white head. Aroma has lots of dank pine, resin, citrus, and a touch of toasted bread. Taste is a strong bitter. Resin, pine, citrus, and a bready backbone. Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. Mild resin texture in the mouth with a slightly dry finish. Overall a tasty, resiny, IPA.

One of, if not the best, IPA I have ever had. Aroma is shockingly amazing. Close in taste to something like zombie dust yet less bitter. Floral hops presence very high, initial taste of citrus with a very crisp backbone of just the right amount of bitter and carbonation make this an outstanding beer.

jcr (2814) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUL 9, 2014
Can. Amber body with a white, frothy head. Aroma of pine, raw, leafy hops, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A sweet tasting start gives way to raw hops, resin and pine with light citrus notes. Not a resin bomb, but fairly standard fair.

Westmeister (2127) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 9, 2014
Can gifted by jrob21. Clear orange pour with nice white head. Bitter orange, grapefruit and some resin and decent malt backbone. Good not great.

16oz (green) can, from Big Red Liquors in Indianapolis. Clear orange amber color. Good finger of khaki head. Medium-plus body. Smooth lighter carbonation. Light creamy fullness to the texture. Lightly dry finish. Very easy to drink. Good tropical, orange fruity hop notes. Light caramel malt. Moderate bitter, light sweet. Great, well-balanced hoppy but not too bitter IPA. Satisfying clean bigger hop profile, but very easy to drink. Great IPA, very satisfying.
