3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap in Bloomington (IN)
This blend of mead and beer is certainly worth trying at least once. At this point it has probably kicked. Assuming that there are future releases check out this novel approach to brewing.
Aroma / Appearance - A blood orange base is rich and creamy looking. Flat with no carbonation it hangs in the glass. Cherries, light hops, and honey drizzled biscuits stick in the air like a humid summer afternoon. It even has that mellow laid back feel.
Flavor / Palate - Creamy and chewy the mouthfeel is dense without being cloying. Cherries, honey, and a trace of booziness are present after only a few sips. The fruity finish is a bouquet of flavors. This is a fine release from the folks at Sun King.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to taster. Looks good; a somewhat hazy cherry orange with white lacing. Smells of biscuit and mild cherry. Tastes like it smells, but with some honey too. Average on the palate. A solid braggot.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From tapping at Gencon 2013. Pours a clear ruby with a creamy, offwhite head. Bubbles rising to the surface.
Aroma is fruity and sweet.
Taste is fruity and sweet. Honey.
Long, bitter/sweet after taste.
Medium body, medium carbonation with a lively mouth feel. A bit sweet for me but a good brew!
