COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To honor the Mayan prognosticator’s predication, we created Itzamna, a beer using ingredients commonly filling the cupboard in ancient Maya. The result is a large, malt-forward, dark lager with a hint of cinnamon and chipotle pepper on the nose. The beer comes to life on the palate with rich cocoa taking center stage before finishing with cinnamon and a lingering, smoky pepper essence. We hope the world doesn’t end, but we know what we’ll be drinking when the lights go out!

Love the aroma and taste of this beer. The slight burn at the end makes me just want more.

Tap at brewery., Coffee, chocolate, and molasses aroma. Black brown with a small tan head. BBQ smoke, chocolate malt, light alcohol flavor with a very slight chili burn in the finish. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation. Nice, but I think it might be really great with a little age.

Draft. Light molasses-chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown with minimal head. Mildly astringent smoky chocolate-coffee malt flavor. Mild peppery burn in the finish. Nice smokiness.
