Sampled at FoBAB 10 - 2012 (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich brownish red pour, dark with copper glowing edges. Deep and dark, a frothy tannish head laces ok. Aromas are cherry, carmelization, vanilla, spirit, biscuit. Initial is cherry, a bit tart and tannic with vanilla, spirit, toffee and toast. A kiss of cocoa, vanilla and toffee. Some spirit. Middle is a bit sweet, tart, tangy. Backend shows dryness, a bit tannic, tart. Solid. A bit sweet and thicker in body but quite nice. The cherries aid this over just the base version.

Sampled from the tap at FOBAB 2012. Pours a clear amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice note of cherry with some strong sweet grains and bourbon backing. Flavor has an interesting combination of cherry and barrel with a bit of sweet grain and caramel underlying.
