On tap @ Tomlinson Tap Room, Indy. Dark amber with golden highlights. Very hoppy tropical fruit aroma and flavour with lightly toasty caramel malts. Long bitter finish. Nice. b3shine (9154) - Indiana, USA - APR 13, 2014
Draft to snifter at The Tap. Menu says this vintage is 6.8%. Looks good for the style; a hazy amberish brown with foamy off-white head. Smells solid; nutty and toasty with loads of citrus hops. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Good beer. Block (3183) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAR 30, 2014
Brown pour. Light roasty, malty aroma. Flavor is light with a smooth mouthfeel. Sweet, malty, without too much bitterness. Tmoney99 (14985) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 30, 2012
Draft sample. Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt, nuts aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is another good SK brew.

Growler opened by drabmuh at a recent tasting.
Pours a moderately dark brown with a thin off white head and not too much lacing. The nose really layers the hops and malt together quite well. Some earthy, piney hops and a bit of caramel sweetness. The taste doesn’t have quite the same profile as the nose, with some sweeter malt and a bit of roast coming through. Slightly dry and bitter in the finish. Drinks quite well and is one of the better brown ales I’ve had in some time.

Sampled on tap at the brewery (Indianapolis, IN). Probably the new beer I was most excited for. Pours a nice brownish hue, decent haze, some ruby lighter edges, and a small beige head that subsides to a film, laces ok, frothy. Aromas are floral and touches of citrusy hops take the lead over a nice earthy and sweet brown malt base, some tobbacco, toffee, biscuits take the lead. Toast, but the hops stay potent. Initial is medium bodied, offering a moderate hop bitterness on the front end. a bit thin bodied but preaching a hop bite up front moving into touches of hazelnutes, toffee, toast, and biscuits and a dried out floral and lightly citrus finish. Some remnants of tasty brown malts, sweeter with a lingering soapy and floral dry bitterness sticking around on the backend . Very nice beer by Sun King here, I’d prefer a touch stronger hop and the body falls apart a bit further in. But pretty good. StFun (567) - Indiana, USA - MAR 2, 2010
Pours a ruby, amberish color with lots of lacing. Aroma is nice and hoppy, a big citrus punch in the nose. Hints of rasted nuts in the background. Sweet and bitter in flavor, and slightly watery on the palate. Wish this had more going on on the malt side, but a good beer nonetheless. awiseman01 (469) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - FEB 26, 2010
1st Rate, Oh Yeah! Tap @ Binkley’s in B-ripple. This was SO totally off the hook yo! Pours a ruby brown with slight beige head. Nose is fruity citrus. Taste and flavor is SOLID citrus hops with a majorly decent fruity malt backing and overall crisp refreshing mouthfeel. They did this one right for sure! Definite candidate for the cans!!!!
