UPDATED: MAR 18, 2012 Wow. I remember liking the Osiris when I first had it, but it didn’t jump out at me. Got some almost 2 years later and it’s a REALLY GOOD pale ale. My initial rating is below, and I gave it a 3.2.
Pale ale color - nice, pretty much in the same range, but a good color for this style. THE NOSE IS AMAZING. I think they’ve surpassed Alpha King in terms of the "Indiana" pale ale. Lots of Citrus, and I think there are some Simcoe hops in here...I’m getting that cat piss aroma (I LOVE THAT). Taste is smooth and the flavor hops are there with just the right amount of bite. It is not harsh. Good job, guys!
------ Old Review from 6/16/2010 -------- the most part, this is your standard pale ale, but it does have it’s own unique hop flavor - it doesn’t taste like a Sierra Nevada clone. I’d say that the hops give off a tinge of tobacco, but mostly it’s citrus. I was hoping for more of an Alpha King type zing, but no such luck. Comes in 16-oz cans, which is neat. Sorta expensive at $11.99/4-pack though. Hartung32 (252) - Indiana, USA - JUN 25, 2013
My favorite beer from Sun King; and definitely my favorite Pale Ale. Well balanced and hoppy.

Clear golden color, wispy white ring with lacing. Mango, papaya, spice, and a touch of caramel in the nose. Light bodied, lasting finish, very drinkable. Big hop flavor, good balance with an assertive bitterness but malt to back it up. Very refreshing and enjoyable. Would gladly have another! Zane_Hilton (11) - USA - OCT 16, 2013
Sun King gets the Pale Ale right. Hoppy, but the other flavours are not covered up . Roasty, citrus, herbs, woody, orange, medium bitterness, light sweetness, full body, lively, long finish,. pinion (12) - , Indiana, USA - DEC 19, 2009
I love the citrusy hops and this one has it in the nose. A quick sip let’s you know it’s really there. Amazing taste really. In half a glass I think this has become one of my favorite pale ales. Sun King is really making a name for themselves. I popped in there Friday about a quarter till 7 and they were packed. Considering this isn’t a brewpub but rahter a warehouse with some kegs in it is saying something. Plus they were closing at 7 and these people didn’t seem to care. Love what they’re doing and love what they did with the Osiris. Amazing.

Thanks to lurchingbeast for sending this to me recently.
Pours a slightly hazy bright golden orange color with a frothy, pillowy two finger white head that slowly settles into a thick lasting cap. Chunks of soapy lacing left behind.
Slightly earthy, floral hop aroma with hints of pine, earthy grass and a ton of citrus fruit. Hints of grapefruit, orange peel and pineapple. Nice pale malt presence with some biscuit notes.
Full bodied especially for the style with a blast of dry, earthy hops up front that give off a nice lingering bitterness. Lots of pine needle/earthy flavor along with a decent amount of light and citrus fruit. Not as sweet or citrusy as aroma suggests with mostly grapefruit and pineapple. There’s a nice pale malt backbone underneath that makes itself know without taking away from the hops at all. Biscuity with a subtle grainy Graham character. Well balanced and complex. Very flavorful and easy to drink. ads135 (4726) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - APR 19, 2013
This is a very nicely balanced IPA. Obviously well hopped, but the rich, even creamy, malty caramel backbone make this a pretty smooth ride over all. Tried in Richmond, IN in 2013. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUN 7, 2013
Can. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a moderate pillowy white head. Nose is actually quite hoppy - there are some nice floral elements to it that really come through. Taste isn’t too bitter, but has a nice hoppy floral taste to it. Very easy drink. olr1984 (1500) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 19, 2013
16oz can pours a clear orange with a off white head. Big fruit and hops aroma. Taste is the same with a dry hop finish. Great beer merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 25, 2013
